Osteoporotic Fractures: These are old age-related fractures caused by bone resorption after aging. It can occur with much simpler traumas. Sometimes the patient doesn’t even remember this trauma himself. Low back or back pain may be present. Pain increases gradually. After some clinical and radiological examinations, it may appear that the spine is broken. If detected early, it can be treated with minimally invasive methods (kyphoplasty or vertebroplasty). These are called closed surgery. (percutaneous approaches) It can be done with local anesthesia without putting the patient on the risks of general anesthesia. After the surgery patient can walk after 6 hours and be discharged on the same day. If the osteoporotic fracture remains undetected and the type of fracture is too advanced, spinal stabilization procedures via open surgery may be required.
